An Exotic Indian Dinner and Entertainment
Date: Saturday, May 13th
Time 6:00pm
Place: d'Esterre House, Comox
Cost: $100.00 (tax receipt issued for a portion of the ticket price)
Spices and Blarney are doing it again! That is to say, Liz Datoo and Joline Martin are organizing their annual fundraising dinner to help the less fortunate in our community. This is a fundraising event for Dawn-to-Dawn: Action on Homelessness Society … a group dedicated to finding warm, safe places to live for those currently living rough.
You will be treated to an exotic four-course Indian dinner, prepared with the help of the "QUEEN OF INDIAN CUISINE NASEEM DATOO" (Naseem, who is an AMAZING cook, comes from Vancouver to help put this meal together). You will not only enjoy a wonderful, flavourful meal but entertainment and dance as well.
All proceeds raised go to Dawn-to-Dawn.
Joan Collinge will have tickets at our April 19th meeting.

What to Expect …
~ from 2:00 to 3:00 we sip on a glass of wine and nibble on strawberry shortcake while we tour Robert’s fabulous ten acre gardens in bloom.
~ at 3:00 p.m. we enter the gorgeous antique-filled drawing room, in which the voice of Marion Anderson was once heard in concert (and where the beauty of her voice still echoes).
There, our artists for the afternoon will position themselves around the grand piano and the feature event will proceed.
There is limited space available for this elegant event so if interested please get tickets early.
This is a fundraiser for CYMC, our summer music school, which has been part of the Valley since 1967 and which continues to bring great artists to our community to teach the next generation of musicians … and delight us with performances typically heard only in larger centres.

Spa Day at the Kingfisher … Let’s do it again J
Joan’s comments following this event … "it was great to see new acquaintances getting to know each other better and seeing those who have known each other for a long time sharing time and conversation. It was so much what PROBUS is about --- fellowship and fun. AND it was easy to arrange!"
And kudos to Bent Harder for joining us!
Do you have an Idea for An Event?
Please talk to Liz or any other member of the Executive Team. We’d be happy to work with you to make it happen.
